Among them was NICK WECHSLER -- the super-talented 20-year-old who played Kyle Valenti. Drop-dead handsome and gifted with an endearing dry humor and delivery, he quickly gained a following. ROSWELL was not Nick’s first series -- he had a co-starring role on the ill-fated Team Knight Rider - - but the role of Kyle Valenti made his name a household word, at least in Sci-Fi-oriented households.

The rest -- as they say -- is history. 10 years after ROSWELL, many fans are just as mesmerized with the story and characters as they were during the all-too-short three-year run of the series. Some of you may remember (some of you are too young to remember) that ROSWELL fans launched the first effective fan-based campaign to rescue a beloved series, inundating the studio with bottles of Tabasco Sauce. The series survived, on another network, but was ultimately undone by being placed in a time-slot opposite a super-hero; Smallville. As in the comic books, Superman defeated the aliens.

Nearly all of the cast went-on to bigger and better things:

Katherine Heigl -- Star of Grey’s Anatomy, several movies, and a media favorite.
Jason Behr -- A long series of starring roles in various movies including some remarkable indie films of great merit,
Colin Hanks -- Mostly movies - lots of them - but also guest-appearances on various TV series.
Emile DiRaven -- A long list of TV roles including a featured role on “Lost”
Brendan Fehr -- Several movies and a recurring roles on CSI Miami and Bones
Adam Rodriguez - Still in a regular starring role on CSI Miami
William Sadler -- Too many wonderful guest and starring roles to mention - the man is a dynamo!
Shiri Appleby -- Many TV roles and some significant movie roles as well.
Devon Gummersall -- dozens of guest appearances on TV and a marriage (and divorce) with ROSWELL star, Majandra DelFino.
Majandra DelFino -- Several series and guest roles, and a musical career too.
Jason Dohring had 2 appearances on ROSWELL as a pizza-delivery guy, and went on to numerous other roles.
I’m sure there are some missing from my list -- sorry for that.

Nick Wechsler continued with a steady stream of guest appearances after ROSWELL including: Malcolm in the Middle, Tru Calling, North Shore, Cold Case, Crossing Jordan, Vanished, Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Without a Trace. He also completed his third movie, FLING* in a featured supporting role, and a lead supporting role in a made-for-the-internet series, Infamous.

Hi everyone. :) This message board was a part of Fan Forum for a very long time, and I'm going to miss it. I'd particularly like to thank Alex and Chris for all of their hard work and dedication to this board, and I'd especially like to thank all of the people who posted on this board, present and past, and who made this board the special place that it is.

I got to meet Nick and the rest of the Roswell cast years ago at the first Fan Forum party at the Key Club in Los Angeles, and I thought he was a really nice guy. Thanks for everything, everyone.

First off, I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know Nick had a board on :ff:. That's actually really surprising because I absolutely adored Nick/Kyle on Roswell. He was one of my favorite characters on that show. Hot, funny, and he became the nicest guy over the three seasons. :sigh: That being said, I haven't seen him in a lot of other things. I did watch Tru Calling and Crossing Jordon and I'm sure I saw him on those but I don't remember much from those shows to begin with. :lmao:

Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say congrats on 50,000 posts. :yay:    And I'm sorry to see this board go :(, but glad, like it has been said, that it's going out with a bang.

Goodbye, Nick board!

I became a fan after just a couple episodes of Roswell. I did a painting of Nick and took it to the autograph signing thing up at the IX Center and while waiting in line to see Nick I met a few other fans who told me about FanForum. It was really because of my shameless fangirling that I first heard about FF.

Nick is awesome and this board has been awesome. :( It’s really pretty sad to see it go.

Good vibes to all of you! :D

Hi everyone.

I've never posted here (maybe once?) but I loved Nick on Roswell and out of all the people to meet from the show, most people agree that Nick was the most pleasant surprise. Sweet, witty and always beyond nice to his fans. Like how he never signed an autograph the same way; he personalized each and every one. I think it's pretty darn classy how you've decided to close this board even though it could keep on. He may not have tons of fans, but he's got some pretty special dedicated ones.;)

Congrats on 50,000 posts!!:D

Roswell is what brought me to :ff: and I'm a fan of the whole cast. I've posted here on the Nick board off and on over the years. This board will definitely be missed, but I understand the decision to close it. The mods and posters here are great. Thanks for everything. And of course I look forward to continuing to follow Nick in whatever future projects he has.
